20 Nov Stella
When I picked Stella from the litter she was the “psuedo-runt”, a sweet tiny pup with long eyelashes that just grabbed onto me and wouldn’t let go. 18 years later and that is how she spent her last moments on this earth, holding on tightly to my chest as she peacefully crossed over. She was sweet, with a taste for adventure. From ATV-ing in Yellowstone National Park, sitting in a milk crate attached to the front of the quad to endlessly chasing bouncy balls around my family home. We cherished every moment. She then came to university with me and became our “frat girl” house dog. Being passed around at parties while we all sang “Sweet Caroline” at the top of our lungs. She never missed a moment.
In her older years she brought her joy to us in quiet moments on the couch and brought us laughter when she would try her hardest to jump up but would inevitably miss and fall short due to her declining eye sight. She brought laughter, tears and helped me through some of life’s toughest moments.
She was small in stature but her quirky and lovable personality was bigger than life. She was truly one of the greatest friends. She will be so missed.
Rest In Peace sweet Stella girl.
