03 Nov Sage
On October 13th, 2018 Sage died peacefully at the age of almost 12 years and 5 months. We laid next to her on the floor and told her how loved she was. We held her and kissed her and whispered to her until she passed. Sage came into our lives as an adorable eight-week-old puppy full of energy, mischief and unconditional love. She gave us a run for our money with her many quirks and quarks, likes and dislikes. She loved people, long walks, the lake and car rides.
Her safe place was her crate, but she equally loved to lounge on the sofa. Food was always important, main meals at 6am and 6pm, like clock work. She could have been a vegetarian with carrots, celery and apples topping her favs. She disliked lemons, the smell of wine and smoke detectors (the high pitch noise would turn her into a quivering mess). Through good times and bad, we loved her with all our hearts, and she will always be in our thoughts.
Our best friend.
Our loyal, loving companion.
Our “pretty girl”.
