Roxy

Roxy was a loving Shetland Sheepdog. Her kind soul departed from us on November 12, 2025 at 12.5 years of age. She has been a part of our family since she was 8 weeks old.

Roxy was pure love and very sweet. She was gentle enough to play with children and watch babies. She had a way of winning everyone over. She was happy, playful and very affectionate. She was always smiling and often wagging her tail. She loved going for hikes, playing fetch, kayaking then ending every day by curling up for a cuddle.

She had a habit of giving hugs and nose boops. She loved physical touch, especially hip massages and forehead kisses. When you weren’t petting her, she would nudge your hand with her nose, earning the nickname “bottlenose dolphin.” She loved being groomed and was never fussy.

She was very intelligent and learned tricks quickly. Some of her favourites were running through agility tunnels, “shake/paw,” “circle,” and “go-go stop.” She was also emotionally attuned to those around her and always sought out those who needed her. She’d provide comfort.

She was deeply loved by her family and is forever in our hearts. She made an impact on everyone around her. May she be playing as if she were a puppy again across the rainbow bridge.
