27 Jul POOKY
To my beloved Pooky (April 3, 2007 – June 10, 2015):
You were a lovely 6 year old cat when I picked you up from the Prince George SPCA in April 2007. I still remember how you purred when I came back and chose you. You’re smiling eyes and purr said to me “Thank you, I am now home with you”. You were a much loved cat Pooky.
After not having a cat for 20 years, it was like I had never been without you. You were a missing piece of the puzzle that had been long searched for. I wanted you to live forever but sadly, kidney disease took you too soon. We miss so many things about you Pooky. These include your cuddles, your jumps on the bed to keep us company and your loud meows alongside us at home.
You very much wanted us to know that you were part of the family and believe me you were! I was grateful for the unconditional love and affection that I received from you. It was reassuring to know that you were a loyal friend by my side. I feel better knowing that I have your ashes. Therefore your spirit will always be with me, as a talisman.
“Good bye” said the fox. “Now here is my secret. It is very simple.
It is only with one’s heart that one can see clearly.
What is essential is invisible to the eye”.
From the book “The Little Prince”.
You brought much joy to the lives of our family Pooky, particularly to mom and I. Thank you forever.
Missing you and love you, Vicky and Jan
