Leo

June 30, 2011 – December 5, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Leo, who left us on December 5th, 2022, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Leo, though small in stature, possessed a personality that was larger than life. He faced every challenge with a bravery and spirit that belied his size, taking on animals ten times his size and never backing down from any adventure.

Leo had the heart of a lion and the courage of a cat, living with a zest that made it feel as though he had nine lives. His antics and boundless energy were a constant source of joy and laughter. He had a particular fondness for burying bones and shared an inseparable bond with his best friend and sister, Piper. Together, they were an inseparable duo, even when Leo would annoy his big sister.

Leo is survived by his loving family—Jordan McEwan, Ben McEwan, Joan McEwan, Gary McEwan, and his cherished sister, Piper. He now joins those who have gone before him, including his mother, Kaia, and his childhood friends and roommates, Lilly Belle and Theodore.

Though his time with us was far too short, Leo’s love and memory will remain in our hearts forever. He was loved beyond measure, and his vibrant spirit and playful antics will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, dear Leo. Your paw prints will forever be etched in our souls.
