In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Kita – April 3, 2001 – May 17, 2014

Dear Kita;
You came into our lives on July 1, 2001 as a three month old puppy in Hope, B.C. Your first family didn’t want you anymore and thankfully, you joined ours.

You loved to be outside. I wish we had kept track of all of the kilometres that you always walked with us. You loved exploring all of the trails along the Coquihalla River in Hope and Sucker’s Creek. You loved to wade into the creek up to your belly and have a good, long drink. The walk from our home along the trail and through the Othello tunnels was another favourite.

Mike loved to take you golfing in the evenings. He loved being with you on the course when everyone else had gone home. You loved chasing the marmots.

Chantal always wanted to cuddle with you and was always willing to look after you when she grew up and moved away.

When we moved to Vernon last spring, you continued to enjoy the many trails around our home. It was a much drier community for you. The dog beach at Ellison Park was the perfect place to cool off last summer. You loved to walk on the golf course during the winter and even managed to go snowshoeing with us at Silver Star.

Thank you for your loyalty, gentleness and your unconditional love. We would have loved to have had you in our lives forever. You brought all of us endless joy and comfort.
