Dilligaf

August 29 we said goodbye to our sweet baby Dilli. She was my favorite dog from the moment I met her when my late brother adopted her as a pup 17 years ago, and my constant companion the last 14 years since I inherited her. We summitted mountains together, went to weddings and birthdays, camping trips, she came along with me for field work all over the province, we lived in three cities across two provinces. For a long time, it was just the two of us. She won the heart of everyone she met with her beauty and her quiet, calm, and affectionate demeanor (which I’m told is uncommon for huskys). She loved affection from anyone, if she had her way someone would be touching her at all times.

But I was always just taking care of her for Liam, and now I supposed they’re together in whatever exists after this. I’m going to miss her so much. There will never be a dog quite like her.
