Charlie

Charlie, you brought me joy and laughter and life’s lessons for almost 16.5 years. You enjoyed camping trips, crossing creeks and hikes in the most quiet, pristine and peaceful wooded areas available to you. You met the ocean and felt the sand beneath your paws. You were not only my heart dog, but my companion, each and every day.

I loved your soft, fluffy fur and your smell. I loved that I could cuddle with you. Your constant smile warmed my heart. When things seemed off in life it only took a look into your beautiful eyes to make the world’s woes disappear. I grieve your loss with such pain but I know that this grief is love that I have not stopped feeling for you.
