Harvey joined our family in the late summer of 2012, He was 11 years old and had the most beautiful disposition of and dog pal I have ever known. His former human had passed away and we gave Harvey his forever home. Whether it was a gentle tap on the leg for attention, dancing for cookies or hanging out in the yard, he was as consistent as the day was long. He had nothing to give but unconditional love and that he gave to one and all.
Harvey’s health was beginning to fail rapidly and on March 1 we made and emergency trip to the vet. We were losing the old fellow. At the age of sixteen years, 4 months and 14 days we kissed him goodbye. Our Doots/Doodlebug/Doodle is now on the next part of his journey. This old fellow was in the truest senses of the words, a gentleman’s gentleman. RIP forever loved and missed.
