Last week I had to make a difficult choice for my Mooshie, I had to do the ultimate act of kindness for a loved one and beloved family member. We are all heartbroken as he was our constant companion, our entertainment, my bedwarmer, my comfort in difficult times.

Mooshie was gentle and trusting, he never hurt anyone, and always came to his special whistle. He was the most physically beautiful cat I’ve ever seen, and the most beautiful soul inside. As with most pets, our visits to the vet were never his favourite, and he’d meow all the way there. I would promise him that I would always bring him home. This week my son and I kept that promise one final time. It wasn’t the way we would have liked, but it is good to have him home where he belongs.
