Bourbon came to us 8 years ago as “problem dog” from the SPCA. His bullish personality and size made for a shaky introduction to his new family of Mom, Dad, and younger Saint Bernard brother, Tiny. After about a year of patience and perseverance, Bourbon blossomed into the sweetest dog I’ve had the joy of knowing, and he became just as attached to all of us and we did to him.

The rest of Bourbon’s life was absolutely filled with all his favorite things: hikes, treats, truck rides, belly rubs, and A LOT of love. Every day was an adventure to him and he always made sure Mom, Dad, and Tiny were up for it… even when we weren’t! He brought so much joy to our lives, and anybody else who got to know the sweet, gentle soul beneath the bullish, cranky exterior. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Today has been two months since you left this world. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t miss you, sweet sweet boy. We talk to you all the time and somehow we believe you can hear us, from wherever you are. We cry for you, we hurt for you but we also smile for you. You have left us with so many good memories…

You have left this world but you will never leave our heart, never.

Bourbon, Bourby, Bourbonator, Stinker, Bourbs, Bourbster, (one of) da Boys…

So glad to have had the superb pleasure of hanging out with you over the last 8 years! (Even playing tug-o-war when we weren’t supposed to!)
You had the most amazing mom and dad and brother who loved you to the max! You ate like a king, although most veggies were a no-go!
You are so darn handsome…you would have made a fine son-in-law (don’t tell Tiny I just said that!)
We always knew that the truck was your happy place. We hear that in Doggie Heaven trucks are made of meat and cheese (forget that galvanized steel stuff)!
We Love You Bourby ♥ Auntie Kristen and Uncle Lee
